There is nothing about the "public option" that will keep private companies "honest." Democrats will continue to vilify private insurance until they get to the promised land of single-payer.

Plus there is no cost-savings associated with preventative care. That's another myth that's being pushed by Democrats who try and oversimplify the cost picture for political purposes.
