The story was about CRU, not NOAA. And no, the NOAA doesn't have CRU's original data.

Re CRU's data:

the CRU Global Climate Dataset, is the most cited surface temperature record by the UN IPCC. So any errors in CRU cascade around the world, and become part of "the science".

For example the University of Washington Dept of Atmospherics has maintained their own database for over 50 years.

Good for the last 50 years. The CRU's is supposed to go back a lot longer. Does UW have worldwide data or local?
