Preplanned volume discounts are different from cutting list prices.

For example, at 20 seats, the list price could be $40K, or $2K/seat. At 100 seats, the list price could be say $100K, or $1K/seat. That's not price cutting. Price cutting would be when that $100K deal gets priced at $80K to make the deal. We have heard that VNTV's CEO says that discounting to make deals has been limited (which is good).

Rick - you may understand this, but I think it is important that readers of this site in general, which I know for a fact includes analysts, brokers, and other lurkers, get it. Some do, some don't.

Actually, the problem with a report like Aberdeen is that it can be very misleading, and raise more questions than it answers
