I've pointed out that getting EMR up and running with any shared database is a hugely long-term process -- and one that is far more difficult in the US than in Canada.

Obviously, we put EMR in doctors offices all the time and have been doing so for years. They don't save money, though.

Minor contradiction...what we don't have doesn't 'save any money...but this Canadian fellow you lean on to support your regressive viewpoints makes it a first priority. If this idea of his is no good, you'd think that the rest of his views aren't either...make up your mind.
