That's ridiculous. All of us have ideas, and some are good while others are bad. You choose good ideas and discard bad ones.

Not sure what your point is. The reasons we "don't have" a universal database is far broader than fiscal issues. In fact, most Americans -- if they understand the implications -- will not support a national EMR database on privacy grounds. I certainly wouldn't.
