Assuming Photon-X is well aware of the characteristics of LWLG's electro-optic polymer, it is odd and troubling that Renfeng Gao made the following statement:

"GigOptix electro-optic polymer technology provides a very exciting opportunity for us to develop new innovative high speed and wide band products in the RF photonics space," said Renfeng Gao, Director of Photon-X, LLC. "The LX8900's bandwidth and performance characteristics are very impressive and we believe will open up a whole new realm of RF photonic applications."

Hopefully, the GGOX partnership is just a placeholder for Photon-X until LWLG gets it act together. Maybe, GGOX will establish the modulator market with what they have and eventually incorporate LWLG's electro-optic polymer into their products (win/win relationship instead of working against each other). I could also foresee GGOX being acquired by a much larger entity who would then partner with LWLG concerning the modulator market.

GATES.
