would be to install, if only as beta tests, and I'll volunteer, "streaming" technology to allow us to receive--not retrieve-- "live" quotes. This might involve a browser "plug-in" to install--so what.
Also, using net-telephone technology, ie/eg. "call-fowarding", routers--in the true sense of the word-- should route the user to the next open server when there's trouble with one, obviating the need for constant logons.
Wishes: Frames on the user interface would not break the quote window away from the order/password window, which is absurdly large anyway. (No, the "express server" isn't the solution, it's actually quite stupid--because you (should) want quotes always accessible. Datek, perhaps now that it has serious competition, should get their tech-stuff together. Truth is, they're not cutting edge; they're just cheap. |
