A lot of people would have opposed Medicare had they seen what it would become.

Reagan had a foresight that few others had. He understood that Medicare would eventually kill our healthcare and unfortunately, he has been proven right.

Medicare is $36 Trillion in the hole. I can't think of a sole other than Reagan who saw this coming. And further, predicted that it would lead to repeated attempts by the socialists to take over our economy.
