At the request of the VSE, the company has been directed to retract two statements recently published in
paid investor relations materials.
The first statement refers to a comparison made between the value of the company and the average value,
as reported by Ernst & Young, of North American companies in phase 1 clinical trials. The second
statement refers to the fact that life sciences companies appreciate in value in the six months preceding
clinical trials.
The management of the company acknowledge that the dissemination of these statements could be
construed as advising in securities and as such, would be contrary to policy. Furthermore, these
statements were not intended to provide an undertaking of future performance of the company or its
securities.
