<Good post on Rockwell's "in the design stages" 1 mbps modem. Somehow I get the feeling that there is a certain "me too" uncertainty to this product, however, and that it's a little like they're trying to play last second catch up.>
I don't see it as last minute at all. I think the party has yet to really start. And since they are targeting the consumer market, with great pricing and buy and plug capability, which will be attractive for a telco to consider as a low cost consumer bandwidth solution. Also, the slower speed likely means less problems in achieving the stated rates (which is fine since the current *average* internet throughput is apparently only around 40Kbps - with a lot more needed to get consistent backbone increases than throwing some OC48 at it )
<It will be interesting to see how it develops. Certainly they're starting from square zero with respect to trials and relationships.>
Personally, I think this tech will do well for the consumer niche it's geared to.
<the Repo man (you may or not remember - but it doesn't matter). When I stated that I found it hard to understand, someone said that I needed to see the movie and all would be revealed. What that person didn't know was that I had seen the movie prior to my post.>
I remember. "Plate of shrimp" refers to certain patterns and ideas arising simultaneously, seemingly from some psychic aether, as it was represented in RepoMan. If you watched it again, you would see it.
<No need to comment on that point,>
Oh well-
<.. but suffice it to say, any and all comments - both positive and negative (even if wrong either way) are encouraged on this thread. I think you may find that suitable to your style of posting.>
Thanks Curly! I prefer a forum where participannts are more interested in understanding the truth than in spinning a story about "their" stock.
