The pivotal political issue will be whether the votes exist for a meaningful cost-reduction competition mechanism. If they don't this year, then they don't. I don't want to see the extended coverage option killed as a result, and our various relatives left uncovered when they need it. Tomorrow is another day, and the next one is always coming soon. Just like the stock markets.
