Private insurance gives you a complete book of coverage and payments up front. No one decides life or death issues arbitrarily. You are free to change policies or companies if you don't like the coverage. Thats a free market in healthcare insurance. Also, patronizing me gives everyone even more to laugh at you about as I am obviously superior in intelligence and knowledge than you are. My debating skills also put you to shame.
