Political rhetoric of each side is standard practice. Where one side sees the other as having willful ignorance the other sees a true religion. Until we demand honesty from government we will get more of the same and it will be what we deserve. While I agree in general with your sentiment, I cannot recall a more egregious lie, repeated with more fervor by top party officials and spokespersons, than the "death panel" lie. BTW, global warming is a fact. The debate is over whether or not humans have contributed to it and/or can do anything to alleviate it.
