I consider his repeated statement re if you like your policy you can keep it. This is said while the plan being designed will destroy the option that some may want to keep. I suspect his 2% story gets involved here as well - but the funding is so vague I do not think it can be yet claimed. It remains to be seen if his claims of deficit neutral are of any merit.

Ultimately the above comes down to what the impact of a low cost quality public option would do to private companies. Perhaps Obama could include a restriction that no company can terminate its current policies for 10 years - but that would likely be a financial impossibility for any corporation that gets into financial difficulty.
