Anybody want to speculate on why an analyst in the know would raise his recommendation the day before earnings are released?

To my mind this would have to mean he knows (believes?) the numbers and comments will be extremely positive. If the numbers were just gonna meet or even slightly beat what the street is looking for, I think he would wait until after the release and see how the market reacted.

Any thoughts?
