an intellectually bankrupt Republican party AMEN!! Conservatism desperately needs a leader with serious mojo, one who'll begin the long and grinding process of restoring originalist thought. In my lifetime there appears to have been only one electorally successful. Sticks were poked in his spokes; how in the world did he get stuck with Bush I, and why did his influence dissipate? Us old coots won't see it. Maybe it can start before our grand-kids are dust?
