I wasn't aware that the health insurance industry also supported it. Listening to the Democrats, you would think that they were the masterminds behind the obstructionism and the town hall dissent ... It is very strange... but they are running ads here. And you are right that they are being villainized (with some reason). No love lost between doctor and insurance companies... but usually the insurance companies and drug companies hang together. The problem as I see it is that the major players: providers-insurance companies-drug companies have no vested interest in lowering cost; to them that is lowering revenue a VERY bad thing. Thus they haven't even tried to solve the problem. Government has to get involved... once you accept that then it's all just details (where the Devil resides).
