I have 18+ years to Medicare so I am not in any rush. But I have the luxury of a government employee in the family who will work until full retirement with health coverage guaranteed for life. I almost feel guilty being in that position compared to all the uninsured. OTOH, I spent many years in some strange and unpleasant places accumulating that government tenure and benefits.

This whole process will be more interesting in 3 weeks once everyone is back to work in DC and we get a final package hammered out.
