I don't know what that means...what do you mean by how much it's costing us? Measured in what? Admin cost? ??

But if you also want to add up the unfunded future liabilities of SS, you'll end up with a number that far exceeds the "$3 trillion" exaggerated figure for the Iraq war.

You want to compare the beneficial effects of a program like SS to a war that didn't have to happen? Are you kidding?

SS is a GREAT success...in surplus now, and with a small increase in payroll tax or an extension of the payroll limit it's fine for the calculable future...I thought you'd come back with medicare...so I'll beat you to it, eh? IF you are considering that a failure you'll have to also explain how you would care for the elderly.
