Universal Detection Technology Signs Participation Agreement With the U.S. Department of Commerce
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Universal Detection Technology (www.udetection.com) (OTCBB:UNDT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, announced today that it has signed a participation agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) for sales assistance in the United Kingdom.

The DOC will provide an International Partner Search for UNDT. As part of the agreement, the DOC will provide the Company with information on pre-screened potential agents, distributors and partners to help explore market potential and begin to establish relationships in the United Kingdom.

"Our participation with the international partner search will give us the opportunity to market our products in the U.K. through well-established firms in the security business," said Jacques Tizabi, CEO of Universal Detection Technology. "The U.K. is a very lucrative market in the industry as well as one of the first customers of our anthrax detection system."
