Mr. Clean Bean?? Crass act indeed, including your post. There are plenty of places on the net to vent yourself that way. The thoughts expressed debase the character of the Silicon Investor and is an OFF TOPIC subject best left "off."
As for Dr. C, the "Dr." seems to be an acronym for "debauchery." It was a stupid stunt. Dr. Cowpland continues to amaze me, and at one time, I had a great deal of respect for him. I can't imagine using a spouse like that. I also can't imagine Mrs. Cowpland needing attention that bad. Mike ought to take better care of her.
Corel only continues to lose credibility with "trashy exhibits" like that. Provincial Ottawa even begins to looks like a "playground" rather than Silicon Valley North, as the Ottawanians of the thread have described their City. I live in Southern California, and we have no particular claim on virtue. But outside of the entertainment and fashion industries, I have never seen a display like that from any of the many respected companies that are headquarted here.
Yeah, maybe I sound a little "too good," but business should be business, and Corel's business is "business software" and not "softporn." Companies live and die by the images they project from the "top down." If Dr. Cowpland doesn't immediately change his image 180 degrees, he's likely to lose it all in the end.
History is replete with civilizations that become prosperous, powerful, and great; and then immoral, dysfunctional, and destroyed. Companies are simply small civilizations. Corel seems to be following that same self-destructive path. It need not be. Sounds like Vanni's right.
Clean it Up, Up, & Away!
