This is, of course, a big lie.

What happens, in reality, is that the insurance or plan "pool" in which he/she participates, becomes tremendously expensive, as healthy people move to cheaper insurance, leaving only sick people in the pool.

If you want REAL, MEANINGFUL reform, this is the problem that must be addressed, and Obama's "plan" doesn't touch it. You've got to have some way of guaranteeing that every pool will either (a) be comprised of a mix of sick & healthy, OR (b) premiums for the sick are mitigated in some other way.

This is the CENTRAL coverage-related problem that needs to be addressed, and it isn't in any of the planned legislation. The so-called "government option" is a non-starter and will not be part of any plan, so it isn't a factor. You must find a way for private insurance companies to deal with this problem.
