DOW 1989 REPLAY?? There's been so much media hype about today's market and that of 1987..and even 1929...that I did a little lookback...and look what I found. Market crashes(?) usually occur because of a change in basic economic fundamentals or they are event driven. Hong Kong and Southeast Asia certainly qualify as "events." But look at 1989. The "event" was the unwinding of the UAL buyout. It unwound the whole market. Take a look at the comparison of the Dow then and today. pw1.netcom.com It's called "Dow 1989 & 1997." Tomorrow, I'll show you what happened after that "crash" of 1989. (No peeking.) This should be interesting to follow. Can history repeat itself? Claud
