I didn't know that the Arctic supported more life than any other place in the world... I didn't know that either, but I'm not surprised. It's a testament to the adaptability and persistence of life, and puts a lie to claims about fragile ecosystems. Ecosystems are VERY resilient. Which is NOT to say that they should be abused. Only that they will outlive us all. I'm hooked. Our library doesn't have any of his books, so I guess I'll have to go to Amazon.
