To be sure, the wealthy benefited enormously: the real incomes of the top .01 percent of Americans rose sevenfold between 1980 and 2007. But the real income of the median family rose only 22 percent, less than a third its growth over the previous 27 years.


We got that. You think we ought to kill the wealthy, take their money, and distribute it to others. That's not how it works in this country. There are other places where the country's charter permits, even demands it. But here, we want individual freedom and we don't want our money confiscated, even to so you can give some wealthy bastard's money to ME.
