What the DJs listen to doesn't matter. Unfortunately at 95% of all music oriented radio stations the playlists are dictated by a corporate music manager who sends the playlists out via computer. DJs who violate the playlist are often fired. The playlists are developed by 'consultants'. Hence the crap that is now most often played on the radio. DJs are now primarily frustrated button-pushers.
