Thanks Robert - I guess Zacks just publishes the last possible date that they could be out? I think Jim pointed this out too when he said that Nov. 18 was simply 45 days after the end of the quarter. I am looking forward to the date and think that the current weakness is just the usual fear that none of Qcom's phenomenal revenue growth will ever drop to the bottom line.
Jim it is funny that we both pulled out different things from the article on 360&deg Communications. I recall passages saying how inferior the voice quality is of TDMA yet all you pull out is that CDMA is equivalent to digital AMPS (NAMPS). This is still better than TDMA. I also put some credibility in Michael's first hand assessment that he can't tell the difference from CDMA and wireline.
I finally understand why you are so down on CDMA. You must think that IDC is going to get some huge windfall on GSM/TDMA if they win the appeal on Oct. 23 and therefore if CDMA does poorly that windfall will be greater. If they do win some huge windfall, this will only add fuel to the fire supporting CDMA.
Most of us on this thread are trying to evaluate CDMA for its own sake - weighing the positives and negatives of articles carefully to develop an informed opinion. I continue to feel like you have some other agenda than developing an informed opinion about CDMA. This is an adversarial opinion. For the unitiated in this thread you would be doing a service if you acknowledged your position up front. For the initiated your comments are just annoying viruses that somebody always has to spend time, a lot of time, eliminating and clarifying for the sake of the rest of the thread. If we didn't , the building of incremental knowledge on this thread would stop. Jfred's comments about the IDC thread in AOL deteriorating into personal attacks are a good example of what can happen. I hope it doesn't happen here.
