hello pezz, today's report:

(i) the h1n1 swine flu does not appear to be a big deal in so far as lethality is concerned, at least not to the astute who are also traditionally minded, respectful of ancient remedies and ways of old, and not to the hardy, even though its infectious nature seem potent enough, against all - one stare from any infected and bingo, you got the bug and so our entire immediate household and closest friends and their entire household, including nannies, all got the bug

(ii) as far as i am concerned, catching the bug at such early time of season is better, to build up some immunity (yes, bugs mutate, but some immunity must still be), much like getgold early

(ii) my recommended treatment procedure, even though i am not sure which of the many fine traditions did the trick, is as follows

- last night wife performed did en.wikipedia.org on me and daughter, and yes, it was ugly, scary, and generally alarming, but the very shinny and anti-bacterial silver coin was good to the scratch, painful, but tolerably so

- took very hot bath
- drank one 12g sachet of herbal medicine tea comprised of something, well, actually all things i know nothing about (purchasable from tong ren tang technologies co limited, Beijing China and all traditional apothecaries in HK)

Spica schizonepetae 16.9% naturaldatabase.com

Herba menthae 5.1% naturaldatabase.com

Radix ledebouriellae 8.5% etc etc you get the idea
Radix bupleuri 8.5%
Folium perillae 5.1%
Radix puerariae 8.5%
Radix platycodi 5.1%
Semen armeniacae amarum 6.7%
Ardix angelicae dahuricae 5.1%
Cordalis bungeana 16.9%
Rhizome phragmitis 13.6%

- Watched an Agatha Christie DVD (Murder in the Caribbean) for about 15 minutes
- Slept

We are feeling fine (no aches, cough, sniffle, fever, but just have a slight desire for rest and relaxation - no moe so than the usual weekend), much better than yesterday at onset of dire-ness, and enjoying the quiet time at home. I intend to do pizza for lunch, and then repeat above procedure before napping.

conclusion: swine flu can be as relaxing as a good solid weekend.

Cheers, TJ
