steve Broker thinks the rumor is crazy and Dell will make their number. He has some backroom folks that also think Dell will make #. Doesn't understand reason for rumor. Puts it in same cat-a-gory with Intel buying their stock back. That was yesterdays rumor du joir. It was his way of saying "I bet there will be a big bounce up tommorow because of stupid rumor today. Just like there was a bounce down on Intel today because of stupid Intel rumor yesterday." This is the way markets work when people are tired and nervous. They can't remember cpq has already announced their earnings. They can't remember Dell's positive comments on quarterly progress. They heard, they act they don't think. NW
