Oh please...I didn't say anything about "all free markets", that's your hyperbole.

I was simply highlighting the way that the private sector has failed the American public in the last decade or so, moreso than they have at anytime since the 1930's. Wall Street proved unreliable; the auto industry imploded thanks to its own blunders; airlines overexpanded to the verge of bankruptcy; private health insurance is great when you don't have to fight over the charges or the coverage which is often; the credit card companies have a license to rape and pillage with their charges; mortgage brokers, well, no need to elaborate there, and so on.

The irony is that the people screaming most about "government intrusion" are the same folks that these companies bent over and reamed out for all they were worth. What's the typical profile of someone with high credit card debt, no health insurance, a foreclosed home, etc.?
