This guy is a nut job. "A careful examination of the facts shows that most arguments about peak oil are based on anecdotal information,...." There is nothing antectdotal about the algorithms and methodologies that have successfully predicted the rise and fall of specific oil fields, production of a large number of countries, as well as global oil production. That an op-ed piece from an idiot like this could appear in the NY Times shows how far the Times has fallen from being an informed purveyor of information.
