A few more comments of a general (and bullish) nature: (1) Corel's advertising continues to bring new surprises. Although I wasn't so sure about it before, I have to say it is eye-catching and everywhere. The sheer number of products advertised is impressive, as well. One can see a print ad for the Wordperfect 7 Suite and a few pages later something for the Corel Educational Series. This "Home Chemist" product is a great example of their taking advantage of their leadership in the graphics field. (2) They still have Corel Draw. (3) The market seems to like the news releases from Corel. With the number of products they have this should make for plenty of news releases. (4) Microsoft has totally underestimated the threat, they are busy crushing Netscape, and Corel is not really going "head on" with Microsoft except when it comes to Wordperfect vs Word. ...The general market is playing havoc with the rest of my portfolio. I'm just glad this one appears to be the exception right now. With the number of products Corel has (some of them in development or merely 'showcasing' the possibilities of their technology, eg. the PDA which will run in Java, maybe we should start a new thread to talk about the prospects for emerging Corel products in more detail. Anyone agree?
