My sister has a good bear story from Yosemite.

Back in the early '70s there were still a lot of bears in the Valley. She was camping there without a tent. Woke up one night with something poking her in the side. And snuffling.

She slid down deep into her sleeping bag.

Looked out and saw a big ass black bear sauntering away.

Later, a bear came up and tried to get into the trunk of the car, where they had the food. It was an MG, and this think nearly picked up the rear of the car trying to open the trunk.
