Mq there has now been a year of negligible sun spot activity and the sun is lately looking as dead as a dodo. It looks as though you were right. The northern summer has been a cool business too and the last winter lingered around trying to decide whether to restart glaciation or leave it for another year or three while Arctic and Antarctic ice build up some more and glaciers and snowfields in the mountains around the world gather strength.

Al Gore has had his day.

Cap and Trade is just reaching a crescendo as the absurdity of it is shown up by reality and focus on it due to recently acquired poverty around the world makes people question the basis of it.

When people were getting jumbo mortgages and feeling rich, they could throw some spare cash at "The Greenhouse Effect" and not worry about it, like a tithe to a priesthood to keep the demons away.

But when gasoline is $4 a gallon and their equity in their house has disappeared along with their job, they are less inclined to "save the world" and "save the polar bears" when the bears seem okay, and the world doesn't actually seem to need saving, though they definitely do.
