I agree with you but you can't blame them for trying to hang onto the values that they were raised with. It says there should be a separation of church and state but in reality, it's been a fuzzy line.

The melting pot is a fact of life now. It's not just all nationalities, it's all religions. Drive around L.A. and you'll see former Catholic and Protestant churches that are now Buddist temples, Islamic mosques, Hindu temples, etc. Downtown, an old Catholic church is a Shintu temple now.
