You can see why for decades I have considered money to be a mechanism for banditry by governments [and their mates] and why I have been busily developing the alternative. < finished watch "money masters" video.google.com

Note that The Plan is to bring back the gold standard for another round of banditry [according to the conspiracy theory] and many seem to be all in favour of that, such as Dr Ron Paul along with hordes of imprecation-chanting Aztecs. In another time and place some people were called "useful idiots".

Note that Alan Green$pan and you are singing the same old tune - he as the proponent of gold long ago, with you and he on the same song book page.

I don't recall him ever saying the fiat system was forever and that a gold standard might not be a bad idea again someday. But I missed nearly everything he said other than some well-publicized writings and speeches, so perhaps he did say that.

It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that his job was to keep the fiat currency going as long as possible, during which time the constant dilution is a great gain for the owners of the currency [who people should not mistake for those holding US$ at any particular time]. The interest rates charged are quite profitable too, even at very low interest rates considering the money is nearly zero cost to produce.

It could be that very large loads of gold, gobs of gold, have been acquired by people who expect to have gold become once again the official currency backing. As I have said for years, the adoption by gold as a decent-sized reserve currency or replacement for US$ would mean something like $10,000 an ounce, [in 2005 dollars], huge profits for those holding gold now, and a ridiculous gold economy with miners hunting the stuff wherever it lurks.

You don't suppose there is some plan like that do you? Come to think of it, they did mention such a plan in that documentary. You must be drooling like a baby.

You would no doubt say, Get Gobs of Gold.
