I haven't read a comment from a single economist that didn't think we were up shit creek without a paddle.

Everyone agrees the banking business was in a mess until Bush bailed it out with TARP. No doubt about it -- Bush's actions saved us from a major economic collapse.

Whether THAT would have brought us to a depression? Not everyone agrees as you suggest.

You would do well to read Art Laffer's fine book, "The End of Prosperity" -- in which he explains how the Left is causing the US economy to collapse while the rest of the world is starting to emulate our economy and taking our prosperity away from us.

Laffer is no liberal hater. While he was part of the Reagan economy he also supported Clinton's economic policy. But he clearly believes the Obama policy is a disaster and he explains it in terms even you can understand.
