bruce, i'm not concerned about Cymer despite recent information I've read regarding Komatsu. the laser technicians understand lasers, but they are ignorant of the market in general. Cymer's continued domination is as much a matter of marketing as it is a matter of technology. most day traders don't care about the current price of a company as they're only looking for small movement either way. the shorts that have come against this company have a notion of understanding and are clearly convinced of their position relavent to comments by Bret H. and his drinking buddy Jay. neither Bret nor Jay or you or I mastered these lasers or the market, nor has Komatsu. their systems must be put to the full test which will take longer than most imagine, even the technicians who perceive they understand.

partly what's happening right now is the battle of the Samurai; Seiko vs. Komatsu. the more things change in Japan the more they stay the same. both Seiko and Komatsu will be beating up on each other while SVG and ASMLF will be taking market share from Nikon and Canon. there's the story of Jacob Jacob was forced to marry Leah and loathed her for seven years before he could have the bride he really wanted, Rachel. although Jacob disliked Leah, it was Leah, being there first who gave Jacob considerably more children (ten altogether i believe). bottom line, Nikon will sell what is available to the market place NOW because the marketplace wants it NOW. the market isn't going to wait around for seven years for Rachel to produce her two children.

the mouths of liars will be stopped. time will tell if business goes on as it has since the beginning of time, or Komatsu has invented a new standard of time to market for lasers.
