The fact that a gadfly like Lumbert can file pro se multiple lawsuits against multiple persons, and then let them sit on the docket, unprosecuted, until the judge notices and clears it off, should also debunk EC's vehement assertion that a person needs evidence to bring a lawsuit. There is a rule of procedure called Rule 11 that is designed to deal with people like Bernie (it requires a reasonable basis in law and fact for bringing a lawsuit), but alas, it is seldom enforced at all, and almost never against pro se plaintiffs.

IPM could probably counterclaim for defamation, but why bother, he's probably judgment proof.

Regards, Otter
