Well, who said ANYTHING about destroying 1/6 of the tax base?

Healthcare consists of doctors, nurses, administrators, orderlies, janitors and EVERYBODY that works in healthcare.

I would ASSUME that those people would STILL pay taxes on their income.

WHAT does this mean, "About five dollars of every dollar you pay your insurance company is taxable income. (Economics at the junior level explains this quite well.) By cutting that down to 20 cents of each dollar how will that help the federal deficit?"

Well, Medicare is in the hands of bureaucrats. Which brings me back to my "original" question. Do you WANT to get rid of Medicare?
