"Bell Canada To Introduce ADSL Equipment (more ... )"

Does anyone know how long this BC promt has been on WSTL's home
page (http://www.westell.com/index.html)?

If this was just put on, maybe this is one of the press releases being worked on that "quote" GS was speaking of?

We still don't know how many thousands of units (per Telchoice) were
ordered?

WSTL's home page brings you to BC's home page on ADSL:

Who will supply the ADSL equipment used by Bell Canada?
ADSL equipment will be introduced in two phases, involving two equipment
suppliers. For initial service introduction, throughout the Ottawa/Hull
and Quebec City areas, Bell will deploy Westell FlexCap 2T Rate Adaptive
DSL equipment supplied by Westell Technologies Incorporated. Westell
equipment was also deployed in the highly succesful ADSL technology
trials conducted from September 1996 to the present.

For the second phase of service introduction, Bell is pleased to
announce that it has chosen Alcatel to supply the next generation of
ADSL equipment - the Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexor or
"DSLAM". Bell expects to begin deployment of the Alcatel 1000 DSLAM
equipment during the second quarter of 1998.
