Alliant Techsystems gets $6.3 million deal for 555 spare rockets used on F-18 aircraft finance.yahoo.com Thursday August 27, 2009, 9:20 pm EDT WASHINGTON (AP) -- Military contractor Alliant Techsystems Inc. received a $6.3 million contract boost from the Navy to buy 555 spare rocket motors for missiles equipped on the F/A-18E/F aircraft, the Pentagon said late Thursday. Work will be performed in Rocket Center, W.Va., Chatsworth, Calif., and other locations, and is expected to be completed by December 2011.
