I think the media stopped being soft on Bush around 2003 when we went into Iraq, but I don't remember the media ever being this ga-ga over Bush as they are now w/ Obama.


Oh give me a break! The media were syrupy in their portrayal of Bush all through the 9/11 event....him standing on the 9/11 site with his arm around some old guy. The media never questioned the Bush team when they went on and on about WMDs in Iraq. They never questioned Powell's rather lame presentation in front of the UN.

And then the media was embedded with the military in Iraq.....totally compromised. We got glowing reports from 'the Front'. To get the truth, we had to read the British press. It was the British press that told us what really was happening in Iraq.......the innumerable civilian deaths, the growth of al Qaida, the lack of electricity, etc.

God, you all love to play the media victim. However, there is some truth in all of your complaining. Your boys are not very nice people.......and are not easily liked. And that's the difference we are seeing with Obama. He is extremely likeable. He is the people's president and the media can't helped feeling the same charisma the people are feeling.
