8/28/09 update
The Bulls controlled the game most of the week and at Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 29.09% CYTD, or Contest Year To Date, (vs. up 28.59% CYTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 13.55% CYTD (vs. up 12.69% CYTD a week ago), while the Contest median was up 25.75% CYTD (vs. up 24.74% CYTD a week ago).
Thanks again to OGXI, RKRW's portfolio had a huge week, substantially cutting into the lead of GENE's portfolio. MIKE's portfolio held on to third place.
The week's closing CYTD percentages are: GENE up 151.57%, RKRW up 132.12%, MIKE up 107.76%.
At Friday's close, 27 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and 22 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
Portfolio adjustments:
1) I neglected to adjust for the MYGN 1 for 4 distribution of MYRX on 6/30. My spreadsheet now reflects that distribution for the two portfolios that hold MYGN (SJEMM & THEOX).
2) I will try to do the MEDX buyout adjustment soon.
Have a wonderful weekend folks!
