The five bucks difference represents the "risk" for the deal to fall thru. If this is perceived to be a done deal, the gap will narrow. As a long time GTE shareholder and you can say I'm shortsighted, I sure don't want this deal to go thru. Can you imagine, for every share of GTE I own, I owe someone $54! The combine GTE-MCI may actually have a negative book value. I sure hope Chuck knows he's doing.
