do not know about cupping from personal experience so cannot say
re gua sha, very interesting, that as an infection ('heat', 'toxin' and such terms are interchangeably used) progresses - one episode, different sample time, or different disease strikes (cold w/ cough, vs w/o cough, vs w/w/o fever, flu of various sorts, infection in upper vs lower whatever, etc etc) - meaning episodes at different times, the pattern of gua sha rash is different in size, pattern, location
i have even had times when left side of back is all red 'rash', and right side of back show nothing
the reflexologist, a traditional med trained master, says the rash would only show up when 'toxin' is of such concentration that need to be 'leeched'
i do not like the mumbojumbo but am result oriented, and the result is impossible to argue with - one minute i am hacking caugh awake, and the next i am sleeping like a pillow, and the only process leading from a-to-b is 30 min of gua sha, front, back, neck, arm, basically kept having gua sha on locations where red rash results from such - and the results are consistent over different episodes, on adult and children |
