You spun that answer. I men, I understand you had to spin it because there is no rational answer. THAT is the problem and why we have to fall back on democracy whatever its warts.

Listen I am a hard core liberal so my people seldom win elections. The right wing has run this country for the last 40
years and I loth their philosophy. Still, I realize democracy is the only answer.

So I ask again, who makes the basic rules which democracy cannot over ride.

You tell me? It sounds like you believe the rules must be subjectively determined by the democratic process. As the majority are generally uncommonly ignorant and self serving in the extreme, it makes one wonder whether the competent or the incompetent will suffer from their capricious "rules". What do you think??

Do you think the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence espoused capricious and arbitrary rules??
