Uniduto to start on ethanol pipeline mid-2010 Mon, August 24, 2009 Uniduto Logistics will reportedly begin construction on its 618 km Alcoolduto Ethanol Pipeline by July 2010. The pipeline will carry 2.8 Bcf/a of ethanol from Sao Paulo state to the Santos port, Brazil. Uniduto President Sergio Klaveren said “Currently, approximately 95 per cent of the transport of ethanol in Brazil is still done by highways, which has a significant impact on cost and creates enormous logistical bottlenecks…With the Alcoolduto Pipeline, Brazil will gain competitiveness with other markets.” The project has been undergoing environmental licensing since April 2009
