Electrolux also made (maybe they still do) a miraculous refrigerator that cools stuff down by burning kerosene, without making a sound (except for the occasional gurgle). Years ago I read and reread the explanation (in an old encyclopedia) for this thermodynamic sleight-of-hand, and did understand it, but now I've forgotten how it works. I do recall that there are three fluids, water, ammonia and hydrogen. No moving parts.
