Koan: We never took care of the kids in the past very well. So why now? How would Rand's philosophy be enacted? Not much good having a philosophy that cannot be realized. Talk abotu the real world.

We have the most government, that we have ever had and we take care of kids the best now.

In days past, we just let the kids suffer and die. So why would we do it now without society directing government to do so? We wouldn't!

In fact until recently, as often as not, little kids were working in sweatshop factories 12 hours a day seven days a week at the age of 8. What Charels Dickons wrote about.

Kids still work in sweatshops in third world countries where capitalism (commerce) controls everything and government nothing, like Somalia and much of Asia.
